College GameDay Picks Vince Vaughn as Special Guest for Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Face-off
College GameDay is heading to Indiana this weekend for the much-awaited top-10 showdown between Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Every week, College GameDay introduces a celebrity guest who predicts the outcomes of the weekend’s games on live television. And this Saturday, the spotlight falls on the famous actor Vince Vaughn.
Vince Vaughn, who hails from Minneapolis, didn’t go to college, but he’s a passionate Notre Dame fan. He’s been seen at Notre Dame Stadium cheering for his team on several occasions.

What makes this even more interesting is that Vince Vaughn played a key role in the 1993 movie “Rudy,” which tells the inspiring story of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, a former Notre Dame walk-on. In the film, Vaughn portrayed a fictional Notre Dame halfback named Jamie O’Hara. This was a significant moment in his career as it marked his debut in a major movie.
College GameDay has a special connection with Notre Dame. Their first away show was at Notre Dame in 1993 for the legendary “Game of the Century” against Florida State. Notre Dame ranked second in the nation then, defeated the top-ranked Seminoles with a score of 31-24.
Historically, Notre Dame has a decent 6-4 record when hosting College GameDay. However, it’s worth noting that one of those losses was against Ohio State in 1996.
The much-anticipated Notre Dame vs. Ohio State game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night, and you can catch it live on NBC.
