College Football Quarterback, Hunter Dekker, Faces Ban for Alleged Betting on Games
An Iowa State University quarterback named Hunter Dekker is in trouble because people are saying he placed bets on college games. If it turns out that these accusations are true, he might be banned from playing football forever.
According to a report from the Des Moines Register, Dekker is accused of making 26 bets on Iowa State’s sports events, including a football game against Oklahoma State in 2021. At that time, he was a sophomore backup quarterback and didn’t actually play in that game.
The complaint says that Dekker’s DraftKings account, which he controlled, had around 366 online sports bets worth more than $2,799.
