Cole Hamels, A 4-Time All-Star Pitcher Announces his retirement at the age of 39
Cole Hamels, a professional baseball player who has played a total of 15 seasons in MLB has decided to take retirement on Friday afternoon. The 4-Time All-Star Pitcher is just 39 years old and had a really impressive career on the mound.
When Hamels started his MLB career he choose the Phillies to be the first team to play with and since then he has climbed up all the stairs to become one of the most known MLB players. He owned a 3.30 ERA with a 114-90 record from 2006-2015. The highlight of that stretch had to be winning World Series MVP in 2008.

Then in 2015, Hamels was traded by Phillies, although his team changed but he still was one of the best playing with all his might and continue doing impressive things.
Before wrapping up his career, Hamels had stints with the Braves and Cubs and now he is finishing his career with a 3.43 ERA and 163 wins.
It will be sad to not be able to see him on the pitch again but it’s what is best for him. Congratulations to Hamels on an excellent career and best of luck for his retired life.
