Clippers' Paul George Shares Candid Thoughts on Facing Stephen Curry's "S**t-Talking" Game

Last week, the Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the Golden State Warriors, led by none other than the legendary Stephen Curry. The Clippers came out on top with a 134-126 win, but not before watching Curry drop a whopping 50 points on them.

In a recent episode of his podcast, Clippers star Paul George gave fans an inside look at what it’s like to play against the all-time great shooter. George admitted that he was completely locked in on trying to stop another offensive explosion from Curry. Unfortunately, as many defenders before him have learned, Curry can be nearly impossible to contain.

Despite his reputation as one of the most lethal players in the game, George revealed that Curry isn’t much of a trash-talker on the court. He mostly lets his game do the talking, only engaging with opponents occasionally. Instead, Curry reserves his savagery for the crowd, thrilling fans with his electrifying performances.

It’s no secret that Curry is one of the greatest shooters to ever play the game, and his skills have earned him plenty of accolades and respect from fans and fellow players alike. But it’s also his humble, low-key demeanor on the court that has made him a fan favorite and a role model for aspiring players.

“I got Steph, I’m locked in, right,” George said. “I couldn’t stop none of it. It’s just his shot-making, bro. It’s good defense on anybody else. It’s just his shotmaking.”

While George may not have been able to stop Curry’s scoring onslaught that night, it’s clear that both players have mutual respect’s talents and sportsmanship. And who knows? Maybe the next time these two teams meet on the court, George will have some new tricks up his sleeve to try and slow down the unstoppable force that is Stephen Curry.

“He’s the chirp that makes you think, and I think his s**t-talking is what he does to the crowd. Like, he’ll hit a shot and then he’ll turn around and look at the crowd and be, ‘I’m him.’ He won’t necessarily say something to you, and if he does it’s like a quick jab.”
