Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Injured Knee During Practice

Kansas City Chiefs tight end injured his knee during a practice session on Tuesday.

Chiefs fans are devasted over the news of Kansas star player Kelce’s injury. According to Andy Reid, Kansas City Chief’s head coach, Kelce hyperextended his knee earlier today. Kelce’s status is uncertain for the upcoming week 1 game against the Detroit Lions.

Travis, 33, played college football for the Cincinnati before being drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

The veteran tight end caught a career-high 110 passes for 1,338 yards and a career-best 12 touchdowns as the Chiefs once again earned the AFC’s No. 1 seed and went on to win Super Bowl LVII.

If Kelce won’t appear for Thursday’s game then there is Noah Gray and Blake Bell standing in the line.

Chiefs have more options with Practice squad tight ends Matt Bushman and Gerrit Prince.
