Chelsea fans react to drawing Real Madrid in the Champions League quarters
In yesterday’s Champions League draw for the quarterfinals, Chelsea was drawn against reigning champions Real Madrid has drawn Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Advancing would mean they could face the winner of the tie between Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
However, despite Chelsea being the underdog, Blues fans have had some interesting reactions to being drawn against the Spanish outfit.
Reaction from the Chelsea fans
While some were a bit pessimistic:
Temitope: “Haaaaa with Potter in charge???? We need serious prayers. Only a tactical coach can win R.M.”
Most Blues were confident about the tie:
Anurag: “Chelsea vs RM? City vs. Bayern? So they just put all the big teams against each other for the quarters? Don’t tell me it’s not intentional.”
P: “We won over 2 ties in 2021 against Real, almost did it again last season, no reason why we can’t do it again this year.”
Aaron: “If you want to be the best you have to beat the best.”
Zarura: “Revenge Time.”
Ahmed: “I think Chelsea will overtake Real Madrid.”
Rashab: “I pity Madrid… They’re going home so soon. ?”
Ojei: “We are already in Semi-Finals!”
Chelseanuts1: “Well, that is a fantastic draw outcome for Chelsea!!! We’re going to the semi boys!!! Let’s give them buggers a real spanking and show the world who Chelsea are once more!!!”
Allan: “Real Madrid is a familiar foe to our old players like Kante, Arrizabalaga, Kovazic, Mount, etc, but can the new youngsters handle the pressure? It takes a win-or-die mentality and superior coaching acumen to cross this kind of huddle. Skills will not be enough. Above all, nothing is impossible. We have put Real Madrid through the sword before. We can do it again. We are Chelsea, we bow to no one.”
