Shane Van Gisbergen is the winner of this year’s NASCAR’s Grant Park 220 street race in Chicago. Fans all over the world are amazed by his driving skills because it was Shane’s debut in NASCAR.
Fans admireing Shane for his epic win and some of the Cup drivers are stunned by his amazing performance.

The Elite NASCAR Driver Chase Elliot is one of them. After the race in a recent interview with a radio Chase’s comment on Shane Van Gisbergen goes viral on the radio and as well on social media.

On MRN, Elliot sobbed over Shane’s Win, and said ” Gisbergen will go home and tell all of his friends how bad we are.”

Three-time Supercars winner Shane van Gisbergen, this Chicago race was his debut and the reason why Chase said that.

Elliott said, “(Shane van Gisbergen) is going to go home and tell all of his friends how bad we are,”

Chase’s Comment rather sounded ironic but fans are taking his side on comments and figuring out what he actually meant.

One fan said, “If he had won in his debut at Darlington that would look bad, but in the first ever street race for NASCAR I don’t actually think so,”

Another fan wrote, “Elliott is obviously joking, but I’ll use this as a springboard to say that this doesn’t mean NASCAR drivers are bad, it’s just that Van Gisbergen is an exceptional race car driver,”

One said,”I feel this was an offhand comment but I can see it. Our drivers have had perfect tracks perfect cars and perfect rules for far too long. I dont think the sport has the best drivers at the top anymore.”

One protected Chase said, “He was joking…it came across as a dig on himself.”

Winning the most crucial street race in such bad weather conditions with all dampened tracks was no fluke for Shane Van Gisbergen. He definitely got some driving skills.

There will be more NASCAR races to prove Shane’s skills in the future.
