Williams should be prepared for next year’s training camp.
Williams’ absence will allow Keenan Allen and rookie Quentin Johnston to play more with Joshua Palmer.
Since Allen made a name for himself in the 2018 season, the one after his rookie year, Williams has been the Chargers’ other big-play threat at the receiver position. Williams has brought in 31 touchdowns for Los Angeles since then. Williams has continued to be a deep play threat because of the Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert’s strong arm, averaging 15.6 yards per reception throughout his seven-year career.
