The Los Angeles Chargers acknowledged this week that quarterback Justin Herbert broke the middle finger on his left non-throwing hand.

Herbert’s ailment is not likely to keep him out for long. If the Chargers were playing this week, Herbert’s game status would be labeled as probable, but the team has a Week 5 bye.

After throwing an interception in the third quarter of the Chargers’ 24-17 victory, the quarterback hurt his finger while being blocked by Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby. With a splint on his finger, Herbert was able to return to the game.

In Week 6, the Chargers face the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. Herbert has 1,106 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception for a passing rating of 106.3 this season.

Here are some other injuries we are tracking:

Rams: Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp (hamstring) of the Los Angeles Rams is slated to be reinstated from injured reserve this week. The Rams have a 21-day window to add Kupp to their active roster when he is activated.

Kupp had a hamstring injury on August 1. He suffered an injury before the team’s season opener and was placed on injured reserve. Kupp is yet to make his season debut in 2023.

Seahawks: Jamal Adams

Jamal Adams, who returned to the field for the first time in almost a year, did not stay long.

Adams was injured on the ninth play of the Seattle Seahawks’ “Monday Night Football” game against the New York Giants when Giants quarterback Daniel Jones’ leg connected with Adams’ helmet in front of the Seattle sideline.

The seventh-year safety was still down and required help getting off the field to the sideline medical tent. He ultimately made his way to the dressing room, where he was declared out.
