A former Yankees player CC Sabathia shared a picture of a Boston Red Sox fan’s response, which shows both rivalry and respect.

“As a red sox fan, I wanted to boo you. But as a baseball fan, you were a hell of a pitcher.”

Here is the picture which is shared by her on her own Twitter account:

The letter stated that the Red Sox supporter could not help but admire Sabathia’s outstanding pitching technique. Sabathia mocked the Red Sox supports by writing the following while using a grinning emoticon:

One of the most powerful rivalries in baseball history is the well-known one between the Yankees and the Red Sox. while some praised the fan’s message and referred to it as showing “true love for the game,” a Yankees fan posted the following:

“I have *always* respected Red Sox Nation. I’ve been to Fenway Park many times, in full Yankee gear, and not ONCE was I ever harassed or threatened or yelled at or anything like that. In fact, #RedSox fans are some of the nicest I’ve ever met. Totally cool people. – Brian Barjenbruch”

In MLB, CC Sabathia played for 19 seasons. He has also participated in games for the Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Indians.

Racist incidents were described by CC Sabathia in Boston

Sabathia disclose an instance in 2017 where he encountered prejudice while playing in Boston. The Bleacher reports stated that Sabathia said:

“Sabathia said in his big league career “I’ve never been called the N-word” anywhere but in Boston – Erik Boland”

After Red Sox owner Harry Frazee transferred top players Babe Ruth to the Yankees in 1919 and the club went 86 years without winning the World Series, the rivalry between the Red Sox and Yankees was born. The superstition known as the “curse of the bambino” is one of the most well-known aspects of the competition. Games involving the two teams can lead to a lot more excitement in the fans.

Sabathia earned the Warren Spahn Award for straight three times and was chosen as an All-Star six throughout his career. He played his last game for the Yankees in 2019.
