Carli Lloyd Addresses Her USWNT Critical Comments
In this FIFA World cut, USWNT faced Portugal on Tuesday. But nobody won the match and the game ended in a draw. The USWNT team members still celebrated by dancing on the pitch and then later were criticized by a lot of people.
Following all these events, FOX analyst Carli Lloyd also made a comment out of her frustrations with Vlatko Andonovski’s squad.
The USWNT fans weren’t happy with Lloyd’s comment and started criticizing her until the point her albeit concerns were warranted.
Then during Wednesday’s coverage of the World Cup, Lloyd came out ti addresses her critical comments.
“I’d like to state that obviously, I was very critical of the team last night,” Lloyd said. “I’ve had some time to reflect, to sleep on it. I want people to understand that I care deeply about this team. I poured my heart and soul into this team for 17 years, and it was based off of a legacy that was passed down from generation to generation – the mentality, the DNA of what makes that team so great. My comments were reflective on me wanting to see that legacy continue to be passed down from generation to generation.”

To be honest, this was understandable and she also gave a fair explanation.
Now hope her critics stop their comments and USWNT is also set to face Sweden on Sunday.
