Camavinga speaks on Mbappe’s captaincy
Camavinga praises Kylian Mbappe for being a great captain
In Kylian Mbappe‘s first match as France captain, Les Blues won 4-1 against the Netherlands. In the match, Mbappe scored a brace and provided an assist to vice-captain Antoine Griezmann.
In the post-match conference, midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was asked about his remarks on the new France Captain. The Real Madrid man insisted that Mbappe played like a leader on the pitch and believes that the added responsibility will only inspire him to score more.
What did Camavinga have to say?
Camavinga spoke about Mbappe’s influence in the dressing room, as he said, “Before the match, he told us to play well in the opening minutes. At half-time, he told us to carry on, and that if we needed to score six, then we’d have to score six.”
“There were lots of young players at the World Cup as well. I wouldn’t say the atmosphere has changed.”
“We didn’t concede, we were all together. We have another match on Monday [against Ireland], it’ll be important to do the same.”
