Brutally Honest Admission from Jimmy Butler about Losing NBA Finals(Video)
On Monday night in NBA Finals, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat which seems to have given a huge shock to Jimmy Butler. Recently a video of Jimmy Butler surfaced in which he has taken the initiative to talk about NBA Finals lose.
Except for their performance in Game 2, the Heat didn’t make any progress against the Nuggets. During Game 5, it seemed like the referees were doing everything possible to give Butler and Miami a chance to keep the series going. However, in the end, Denver managed to find a way to win.
After the game, Butler and Kyle Lowry had a conversation with the media and were very honest about their experience in the NBA Finals and how it went for the Heat.
“It’s been great,” Butler said.
“I’ve had some helluva teammates come through and compete with me and give us the opportunity to win a championship, which I still believe, with everything in me, that we will do as a team here, as an organization, as a city in Miami.
“The four years have been great. It’s always great to be wanted and loved and appreciated. I don’t think that’s going to change. But for the time being, like I just said, I’m grateful that we made it here. Came up short, but I’m blessed. I’m fortunate.”
Butler was also pointedly asked about how much his prior ankle injury impacted him in this series.
He refused to use it as a crutch.
“Zero,” he replied. “My ankle’s fine. We just didn’t win, there’s no excuse. They beat us.”
After some time of putting in his best efforts to win the game and leading the team, he started going viral on social media for his secret girlfriend than any substantive basketball stuff over the past few games.
But in the end, even though Heat lost the series, everyone noticed the best efforts Butler had put in his performance and how good of s leader he is.
