Browns Let Go of DT Perrion Winfrey After Gun Incident
The Cleveland Browns have decided to cut ties with Perrion Winfrey, their fourth-round draft pick from last year. The team announced that they have released Winfrey, a defensive tackle, following a troubling incident in Cleveland. Reports suggest that Winfrey was involved in an assault on a woman and allegedly showed a gun to her.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Winfrey has been in trouble since joining the team. He has had difficulties behaving professionally, and this incident is just another example of that. The Cleveland police are currently investigating the accusations related to the incident that occurred on Euclid Avenue.

By letting go of Winfrey, the Browns are now left with fewer options at the defensive tackle position. However, they made the right decision in releasing him due to his ongoing troubles. We can only hope that Winfrey finds a way to address his issues and make positive changes in his life.
Now, it will be interesting to see if the Browns decide to sign another defensive tackle to fill the void. They have some promising young players like Siaki Ika, Maurice Hurst, Tommy Togiai, and Trysten Hill, who will provide depth alongside Dalvin Tomlinson and Jordan Elliott.
Winfrey had a decent rookie season, appearing in 13 games and making 22 tackles. However, now that he has been released, he becomes a free agent and can be claimed by other teams through waivers.
