Browns Commit to Jerome Ford Despite Adding Veteran Running Back
The Cleveland Browns suffered a massive loss just at the start of this season after their running back Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury and since then they have been searching for a player to replace him and had some hope in Kareem Hunt.
As things are, Brown’s head coach Kevin Stefanski believes that Hunts signing won’t be enough to change things.
According to Jake Trotter at ESPN, Stefanski strongly suggests that Jerome Ford remains the main running back for the team. This decision comes after 24-year-old Ford had an outstanding performance with 16 carries for 106 yards in the game against the Steelers on Monday night.
Stefanski reiterates: "Jerome (Ford) is the lead back." #Browns

Trotter was picked in the fifth round of the draft last year, coming from Cincinnati. In his senior year there, in 2021, he ran for 1,319 yards and scored 19 touchdowns for the Bearcats.
But after the best running back in the series got injured, Ford stepped in and handled things so far, and now with Kareem Hunt signing makes a lot of sense because he’s already familiar with how the Cleveland team plays from the past four seasons.
They are doing their best to recover from this setback. But whether they can or not, we will have to wait and see.
