Breaking news: NFL Veteran Kyle Rudolph Shocks Fans with Early Retirement at Age 33
NFL star Kyle Rudolph has surprised everyone by quitting football at just 33 years old.
This former NFL tight end, who was picked in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft after playing college football at Notre Dame, is leaving the sport to work in the media. Rudolph had a long career in the NFL, playing from 2011 to 2022.
During his time in the league, Rudolph was a two-time Pro Bowl player, which means he was one of the best at his position. He played for different teams, including the Vikings, Giants, and Buccaneers.
The announcement about his retirement came from Peter King, a well-known NFL reporter.
“I think good luck is in order for another former player, Kyle Rudolph, who retired this spring after 12 seasons, 482 catches and 50 touchdowns—his last in week 17 last January, from Tom Brady, playing in his one season in Tampa Bay. It will be announced this week that Rudolph will co-host a show on FOX Sports radio on Sunday nights from 8-11 p.m. ET beginning in week one next Sunday. This is in addition to his Big Ten analyst duties for Peacock each Saturday,” King shared in his regular column.
