Brawl between Donovan Mitchell and Dillon Brooks

Donovan Mitchell of the Cavaliers reacted quickly after being struck in the crotch by Grizzlies player Dillon Brooks.

Brooks missed a shot while the Cavs were up 81-76 and collapsed in the lane. He threw his arm back and punched Mitchell, who was standing above him, in the crotch region as he lay on the ground. Mitchell stumbled in discomfort and responded by pushing Brooks down the baseline in front of the Memphis bench before shooting the ball toward Brooks.

Mitchell, who accused Brooks of being a dirty player after the Memphis guard punched Cleveland’s All-Star guard in the crotch during the Cavaliers’ 128-113 victory over the Grizzlies on Thursday night, demanded that the NBA take action against the guard’s disorderly poor behavior.

When Mitchell and Brooks got into a fight, Brooks refused to go into any specifics. Ja Morant, an All-Star with the Memphis Grizzlies, intervened when he was questioned about the dispute and stated that the Grizzlies would not discuss the event.

The flagrant-2 call was supported by Brooks, who did state as much.
