Blunt Message Video from Draymond Green to Miami Heat

In the history of the NBA, there have been many outstanding players and Draymond Green is surely one of them. Due to the 33-years old’s undersized position on the court, Green had played pivotal roles on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for the Golden State Warriors.

One of the main reasons why Green was able to consistently succeed despite his physical disadvantages in the Warriors’ four championships is because he has an exceptional mental game. He understands basketball in a way that few other players do.

During the current week, Green conveyed a strong message to the Miami Heat about their defensive strategy against Nikola Jokic, the star player of the Denver Nuggets, in the NBA Finals.

The message was straightforward and direct: your current plan won’t work.

“The zone works when Denver isn’t shooting the ball well,” he said.

“So yes, it worked to a certain extent today. But if all else fails, you just throw the ball to Joker at the mid post. The defense has to collapse, if not he’s hitting that shot at a 70 percent rate.

“And if they collapse or even over help just a tad, we know he’s making a play … I don’t think outside of Steph Curry, there’s a tougher player to zone in the NBA [than Jokic].

“Cause Steph shoots the lights out of it, like he’s shooting it from anywhere. And Joker, he makes every play, his touch is crazy, can shoot it, float.”

In the NBA Finals matchup between the Heat and the Nuggets, Miami appeared to lack effective strategies or solutions in Game 1.

Green is a well-known player and considering Heat’s current situation, it might not be bad for them to listen to his words.

Green is famous both on the court and on the field. With more than 4.1 Million followers on his Instagram, Green is sure to have a different level of popularity.

Now let’s wait and see if Miami heed Green’s advice and how will heat perform in upcoming matches.
