New 8×8 Santorini TDM Map in BGMI: All Details you need to know
1) Unique Geography
The new TDM map is designed with the unique and real geographic location of Santorini island of Greece. The graphics of the map were created for sniping. The map contains small white houses which can be utilized as cover and as camping spots. Out of the four unranked Arena maps, Santorini has provided ladders for climbing on the taller places.
2) Different format
Santorini Map is distinctive also due to its format. It is the only map that contains an 8×8 battle in TDM mode. Players are finding this mode ecstatic, which can be seen in its rapid popularity among the BGMI community. This mode has left behind the normal 4×4 fight mode in TDM regarding popularity.
Despite setting greater standards in TDM modes, this map is quite similar to the 4×4 TDM mode. As its name predicts, The Santorini features an 8 vs 8 players fight and a total of 16 players fights in the arena with one team is defined as Red and another as Blue. The total kills to win the battle have also increased from 40 to 80. The team which will acquire the 80 kills first in the given time of 10 minutes, remained victorious.
3) Different guns for different modes
There is no big change in the selection of weapons in both the modes- Arena Training and TDM. Players will get similar guns and weapons in the former mode while in the latter one players can choose their desired weapons and can add them into Loadout before the match begins.
