Day 1 of the BGIS 2021 Quarter-Finals hosted matches of Group 3 on 2 January 2022. The PUBG Mobile India fans watched their favourite squads Global Esports and Team Forever eliminated from the tournament. Day 1 of Quarter-Finals was not their best day as they got the 12th and 9th spot on the standings. While Hyderabad Hydras made their way into Semifinals by attaining 53 kills and remained table topper with 96 points. The 7 Sea Esports and Revenant Esports will also play in BGIS 2021 Semifinals.

Match wise Details and Standings
The Quarter-Finals of BGIS 2021 on Day 1 featured some intense Gunfights and amazing battles of the favourite teams of BGMI fans across India. While the overall impressive team in all of the matches was Hyderabad Hydras, who topped the standings of Group 3 matches. Here are the results and standings of all the 6 matches played on 2 January 2022.
Match 1: The first match was overall dominated by Old Hoop Esp. The Battle was fierce and Old Hoop Esp conquered the opponents with 13 kills. The team won another match played on the Sanhok map. This match fixed their qualification in the Semifinals.
Match 2: In the second match of Day 1, Revenant Esports got ‘Chicken Dinner’ among 16 teams and they acquired 12 kills in the game. Hyderabad Hydras gained 16 kills and finished in the first place. However, Global Esports was unable to acquire a spot in the top 6 in the second match.
Match 3: The third match witnessed the furious gaming of the participants in which the Hyderabad Hydras claimed 10 kills but couldn’t take the win. Mega Force Esports got the chicken dinner with 11 kills. Team 7Sea Esports remained first, with 14 frags which helped them to Qualify in the Semifinals.
Match 4: Match 4 was played on the green island of Sanhok, which was won by Old Hoop Esp with 7 kills.
Match 5: Match 5 was dominated by the winner of the standings, Hyderabad Hydras. They acquired 12 frags in the game. While 2OP Esports gained the same number of kills that of Hyderabad Hydras i.e. 12, and finished in second place. Third place was caught by 7Sea Esports with 5 frags.
Match 6: 7Sea Esports acquired 2nd position on overall standings while they can do so because of their whopping 18 kills and chicken dinner in the 6th Match. Sarang was the MVP of the match with 8 kills. Global Esports and Only Glitch came in second and third position with 8 kills each.
BGIS 2021 Format and Semifinals schedule
The PUBG Mobile India introduced BGIS 2021 with 256 teams competing in the tournament. While 224 came from online Qualifiers Round 2 and 32 teams were invited for battle in Round 3 of online Qualifiers. The teams are further divided into 16 groups and the top 4 from each group will play Quarter-Finals of BGIS 2021. After that 24 Teams will play in Semifinals to qualify for the Grand Finale.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series aka BGIS 2021 Semifinals will start from 7 January 2022 and will conclude on 10 January 2022.
