Baker Mayfield, Wife Filed Petition In Travis County Concerning $12M Misappropriation

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily filed a petition in Travis County District Court concerning the misappropriation of $12 million.

$12 million is not a small amount and Buccs QB Baker and his wife Emily want to know where and how $12 million was invested by an Austin firm where his family members work.

Via KXAN, the document said,  “Petitioners simply do not know if their money has been properly and competently invested, has been stolen or otherwise misappropriated, or something in between.”

Right now Baker and Emily didn’t file any lawsuit. They just wanted information about the money.

The filing said, “It is too early to know whether a suit is likely or even anticipated. At this time, Petitioners have been deprived the information and documents needed to analyze whether their assets have been misappropriated.”

28, Baker wants to get clarity on their investment. It is hard for athletes to trust anyone these days.

Camwood Capital Management Group, Camwood Ventures, Texas Contract Manufacturing Group, Unitech, Apex Machining, and Lor-Van have been asked to turn over their financial records from 2018-2023.

You can’t trust anyone not even a family member, especially in the case of money.
