Bad News Coming From Legendary ESPN Analyst Dick Vitale

On Thursday, legendary college basketball broadcaster Dick Vitale tweeted about his health update. Said he got some “Bad News” from the doctors.

As soon as Dick Vitale posted on his Twitter prayers start to rain like cats and dogs from every basketball fan.

Dickie V wrote on his Twitter that his issues with the vocal cords in the past have returned.

“Rec’d some bad news, but when I realize it is minor to what some face daily I will fight to recover. Dr Zeitels acclaimed vocal cord surgeon has informed me my past issues on my vocal cords have returned.I must have 2 surgeries this summer-1st July 11 need ur [prayers],” Vitale wrote on Twitter.

“The biggest challenge is that I am currently on voice rest in preparation for surgery on July 11 & post surgery I must be on total voice rest for 6-8 weeks in recovery,” he continued. “That part is so frustrating as I feel trapped not being able to express myself. The positive news Dr Z is optimistic to have me ready for my 45th yr on @espn.”

Right now everyone is praying for 84 years old American basketball sportscaster Vitale.

“You got this @DickieV it’s a setback but you have faced worse. We are all thinking of you,” one said.

“Hope to have you back in the fall healthy, fully recovered, and doing what made you legendary, Mr. @DickieV baby!” one wrote.

“Thinking about you. Wishing you a healthy and speedy recovery,” another said.

Despite the Doctor’s reports, Dickie V is being optimistic and positive. He’s making sure to his fans that he will come for his upcoming 45th year with ESPN.

Vitale adds in his post, “A big thank you to CEO. Jimmy Pitaro of @espn & all my colleagues for their fantastic support, My biggest fear is that it will hurt me in raising $$$ for kids vs cancer @TheVFoundation-also I will NEVER GIVE UP !”
