Atlanta Hawks looking to hire Quin Snyder
A head coach is sought by the Atlanta Hawks. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that they intend to investigate hiring Quin Snyder, a former coach for the Jazz. In June 2022, Snyder gave up his position as Utah’s head coach.
Joe Prunty, the interim coach’s assistant, will be in charge of the Hawks, who have a 29-30 record and are ranked eighth in the Eastern Conference.Wojnarowski claims that Atlanta will begin its hunt for a new head coach right now.Snyder was as an assistant for Atlanta under head coach Mike Budenholzer until assuming the Jazz position in 2014.
Atlanta has struggled since bringing in All-Star Dejounte Murray throughout the offseason. Now 29-30, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. According to reports, Nate McMillan, the Hawks’ head coach, was fired on Tuesday. If Snyder wants it, it would be a new beginning. After eight seasons with the Jazz, Snyder retired from his post this summer. Despite having an overall record of 372-264, making the playoffs in six of his eight seasons with Utah, and leading the team to its first playoff series victory since 2010 in 2017, he was never able to go past the second round.
