Ashleigh Barty wears her kid Hayden in a sling and posts a photo of him wearing a bucket hat
Ashleigh Barty posted a photo of herself cradling her baby Hayden, who is wearing a beautiful bucket hat.
Barty has been married to professional Australian golfer Garry Kissick since 2017. The pair announced their engagement in November 2021 and married a few months later, in July 2022, barely three months after Barty retired. In July 2023, they announced the birth of their son, Hayden.
Ashleigh Barty recently shared a photo of herself carrying her child in a baby sling on social media. The child, who was wearing a beautiful grey-colored bicycle-printed bucket hat, appeared to be sleeping happily in the snap.
Barty tagged her spouse Kissick in the shot and added a monkey and a white heart emoji.
“I don’t have the time, and I’m certainly not coming.” – Ashleigh Barty dismisses the possibility of a tennis comeback after becoming a mother.
Ashleigh Barty returned to the tennis court this month, joining former Australian Grand Slam winner Pat Rafter to mark the return of the Brisbane International tennis event in 2024.
During the event, Barty discussed the prospect of making an on-court comeback after retiring from the sport in March 2022. She stated her present incapacity to devote time to training and physically prepare herself for the upcoming difficult tasks.
Despite cherishing her memories from her professional tennis career, the three-time Grand Slam singles winner remarked that her priority now is on creating new ones with her son Hayden.
The former World No. 1 joked that Pat Rafter, a two-time US Open winner, had a better chance of picking up a racket than she does.
“I don’t have time.” I don’t have time to train or prepare, and I have so many fantastic memories on this court that I’m simply getting to make new ones. I’m not going to come out of retirement. Pat may be more likely than I,” Barty speculated.
The last time the WTA Brisbane International was held was in 2020 when Karolina Pliskova won the WTA 500 title. The previous ATP tournament was held in 2019, with Kei Nishikori winning the championship.
The next event (WTA 500 and ATP 250) will be held from December 31, 2023, to January 7, 2024. The prize fund for the tournament will be AU$ 3.1 million.
