Arteta wishes well for Patrick Vieira
Arteta sent a good luck message for former Gunner Patrick Vieira
After the loss against Arsenal, Crystal Palace sits 12th in the league standings with just 6 wins in 28 games. Former Arsenal legend Patrick couldn’t do much given the poor quality of the squad.
Crystal Palace sacked Patrick Vieira just a couple of days before facing Arsenal. However, the former French international was present at the Emirates as Arsenal took on Crystal Palace. The Gunners took revenge for the Invincible, by winning 4-1 against the Eagles and showing them that the problem was not the Frenchman.
What did Mikel Arteta have to say?
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta sent a message to the Arsenal legend.
“(Since Thursday) the focus was on Palace because we knew it was going to be tricky, even trickier with what unfortunately happened with Patrick,” Arteta said in the post match conference.
“I want to send my best wishes to him and the coaching stuff, and all the best luck for the next chapter, which I’m sure will be really fascinating.
“We had to play against a difficult opponent, which they proved that they are. We had the right energy, we were dominant, we had the right purpose, we were ruthless to keep attacking and be really aggressive.”
