The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo had plenty of suitors. Even Chelsea and the Gunners were interested in the midfielder. But Brighton declined one bid from the Blues and two from the north London side.

Caicedo would have been transferred to Arsenal, but he failed to. The Seagulls did not let their key player leave in the midseason.

He even asked Brighton to permit him to leave on the January transfer window. But they were rigid enough and did not see their player.

Jose Enrique believed that Caicedo would be unhappy about not getting transferred. Enrique even took it on social media and commented on a transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano’s post:

“He will be so mad. But the club has the power. You are under contract and they don’t want to let you leave in the middle of the season. So, it’s fair enough from Brighton’s side.”

Arsenal was in pursuit of the midfielder, they have already signed Jorginho from Chelsea. Caciedo is a young talent and has appeared in 31 games for the club. He has contributed to the club with two goals and three assists.

Caciedo was a good fit for Arsenal. Even the midfielder was willing to leave the Seagulls, but they were adamant enough and did not let him leave.
