Antonio Brown’s Team Ejected from Arena Football League
Antonio Brown’s team, the Albany Empire, has been kicked out of the National Arena League (NAL). The owners of the league unanimously decided to terminate the Empire’s membership because they didn’t pay the money they owed to the league.
The NAL made an official announcement about this on Thursday. They said that after trying everything they could, the owners decided to end the Empire’s membership because they didn’t pay the money they were supposed to. Each team is supposed to pay a part of the league’s expenses every month, but the Empire didn’t do that. Antonio Brown, the owner of the team, also got fined $1,000 for saying things that were bad for the league, but he refused to pay that fine.
This decision was made shortly after Brown said he would play for his team on Saturday. During a press conference, he talked about saving the Empire by paying $1.5 million in workers’ compensation to New York State. But the league gave him a deadline to pay the money he owed, and he didn’t meet that deadline.

The NAL will now change the schedule for the rest of the 2023 season and will announce the new schedule soon. They thanked their fans for their support.
The NAL concluded the statement, saying, “The league will be adjusting the rest of the 2023 regular season schedule and will announce the updated schedule in the near future. We want to thank all of our fans for their continued support.”
