Anthony Davis will make a comeback soon-his injury updates
The eight-time All-star, Anthony Davis was out for over a month due to a foot injury. The Lakers were struggling with injuries this season. The megastar has made some progress in his recovery. The club has shown their “optimism” regarding Davis’ recovery.
On 23rd December, Davis was diagnosed with a stress injury in his right foot. He was not seen on the court after the injury. Being prone to injuries as of last season he suffered a lower leg injury twice. He was back with another right foot stress injury this time. But his return is announced with an uncertain timeline.
Updates on Davis’ comeback
After Wednesday’s game with the Sacramento Kings, the team gave some updates on his right foot injury recovery. The head coach Darvin Ham gave an update that the player has been working out (for 45 mins- an hour) and he felt “pain-free”.
But on Friday, the team announced his comeback. He can return by the end of next week.
Adrian Wojnarowski reported that:
“Los Angeles Lakers All-Star Anthony Davis continues to make pain-free progress on his right foot and there’s optimism of a return to the lineup as soon as late next week. The Lakers start a five-game trip on January 28 against Boston.”
Davis was playing exceptionally well on the court this year, he was averaging 27.4 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. But due to his injury, the Lakers were in a troublesome position of 20-25 on the year.
The fans are excited about his return. They are glad that Davis will be back in the game soon and hope that he will rock the court for a good period now.
