The All-Star game is around the corner, and fans are looking forward to seeing some of the best players on the roster. Anthony Davis is among those players who the fans want to see in the game. But he could not make it to the NBA All-Star roster. The game’s roster was finalized on Thursday, and AD was not listed in the reserves.
It will be the second successive year that Davis will not be seen in the All-Star. He missed almost half the season because of his injury, he was kept away from the roster. And even this time Davis is snubbed from the NBA All-Star game. The Lakers fans were furious over the snub.
Fans share their views
The fans were super excited to see Davis playing. They even wished for his well-being more than anyone else. But knowing that he did not make it to the team’s roster, they were frustrated. Though, the roster is decided by keeping all the aspects in mind. The system decides who will and who they don’t want to have in the squad. But fans were not happy with this and pointed out the discrepancies. They shared their rage through social media.
Davis and his persistent health issues
There is no doubt that Davis is the best in the game. The only problem is perpetual injury issues. He played more than 40 games for the Lakers in 2019. Last year he could only play 40 of 82 games and later, he did not appear in the All-Star roster as he missed around two months, i.e., December and January. History repeats itself, and even in Davis’ case, it did. He sustained an injury and was out from Dec. to Jan. this year.
Undoubtedly, Davis is a potential player but he needs to keep himself healthy so that he can avoid being snubbed in the future.
