Anthony Davis Created A History
On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers were on the road playing against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. During the game, Lakers’ forward, Anthony Davis, achieved a remarkable feat by making NBA history.
Davis moved up on the all-time scoring list by surpassing Jeff Hornacek’s 15,659 points and advancing to the 126th spot. He came into the game with 15,657 points and has been climbing up the list at a fast pace. Next in line for him to pass is Larry Nance, who has scored 15,687 points.
Davis has proven himself to be one of the best scoring big men in NBA history, and his outstanding averages of 25.9 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks per contest in 49 games while shooting 56.5% from the field are a testament to his talent.
Davis was the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and played for the New Orleans Pelicans for seven seasons before joining the Lakers in 2019. In his first season with the Lakers, Davis helped them win the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat in 2020.
Currently, the Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 37-38 in 75 games. They have won six out of their last ten games and have a record of 16-20 in the 36 games they have played on the road.
After their game against the Bulls, the Lakers have four more games on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz, and Los Angeles Clippers before they play their next game at home on April 7.
Overall, Davis’ achievement on Wednesday night was a remarkable feat that further solidifies his place in NBA history. The Lakers will look to build on their recent form and push for a playoff spot in the coming games.
