Another ESPN Longtime Writer Gene Wojciechowski, Is Out Due To layoffs

Sports Writer Gene Wojciechowski another longtime employee of ESPN, is gonna leave the channel soon.

One of the senior writers Gene Wojciechowskiworking with the channel since 1992. he recently shared on his Twitter that 30th June will be his last day at ESPN.

Wojciechowski wrote on his Twitter,

“June 30 was my last day at ESPN, I’m indebted to every editor, producer, director, crew member, researcher, and colleague during that 25 1/2-year run. Grateful to all those who let us parachute into their lives and trust us with their stories. No Plan B yet. For now, just thanks.”

After the news came out so many ESPN colleagues came forward and said goodbye to him.

Robert Green wrote, “It was an honor to work with you brother. Praying for you and the family and know you will dominate what’s next.”

Kevin said, “You’re the best, my friend, Loved our time together on the air and on assignment.”

Stephania Bell said, “I’ve always respected and admired your reporting, Gene, It was my treat to work with you on those occasions when a story crossed both our paths. All the best to you.”

Chris Low wrote, “Thank you Gene for your support, advice, friendship, and example. One of the best — period,” 

Adam Rittenberg said, “Appreciate you, Geno, for all your help and guidance over the years, as well as so much great storytelling, What a great run.”

Disney cutting off thousands of jobs to cut the cost and save money. There have been so many jobs including some of the best on-air talents Jalen Rose, Jeff Van Gundy, Max Kellerman, and Keyshawn Johnson on stake.

Wojciechowski’s work in ESPN is related to football, golf, and other sports as well as he co-authored many athletes’ biography some of which are Jerome Bettis, Reggie Miller, and Bill Walton.
