Another Achievement Unlocked By Faith, Kenyan Athlete Kipyegon
Last Week, world-class runner and athlete Faith Kipygon broke another world record 5000m race on Friday at Paris Diamond League.
Last Friday two time world and Olympic champion holder Kipegon in the 1500m race, set another world record in 5000m in just 14 minutes, 5.20 seconds.
She lowered the record time by 1.52 of previously Ethiopian Star Athlete runner Letesenbet Gidey’s record time of 14 minutes, 6.62 seconds. Gidey also holds the world record for a 10,000m, 15,000m, Half-distance marathon. She was hoping to break her record and set her personal best in the 5000m mark.
On the other hand, A week earlier on 2nd June 2023 Faith broke the world record in the 1500m mark in just 3 minutes and 49.11 and become the fastest woman in the world in the 1500m race. And surprised herself as well the whole world is astonished by this Kenyan runner.

After the race, she said “I do not know how I made it” 29 years old Kipegon was in awe she said she wasn’t even looking for another world record.
“It was all about giving my best,” said Kipyegon “I just wanted to improve on my (personal best), the world record was not my plan. I just ran after Gidey, she is an amazing lady. It is amazing.” after finishing the race she received a hearty hug from the previous record holder Gidey.
“I do not know what will be next, I still have to discuss it with my coach and my management. I am so happy, I am very emotional right now and do not know what to say. If my body is healthy, anything is possible.”
All in all, it was an amazing week for Kenyan star athlete and runner Kipyegon, Who didn’t lose Faith in herself and kept doing her best.
