Andy Reid Uncertain About Chief Star Chris Jones Will Return To Camp
Kansas City Chiefs ‘ head coach Andy Reid is uncertain about whether Chiefs star player Chris Jones will return to the camp.
NFL training camp is about to start in just four days. Where all Kansas rookies and veterans already reported to the camp. But it is uncertain whether Chris Jones is looking for a contract extension and report to the training camp or not.
Head coach Andy Reid said during his press conference on Tuesday,
“I don’t know that, I mean, there’s communication going on. That’s the important part. And we just have to see.”
However, according to reports Chiefs are trying their best to get back with their star pass rusher Chris before the training camp starts on 22nd July. For now, there is no news on any updates about Chris Jones’s contract.
29-year-old Jones is coming off one of the best seasons of his career in the Chief and finished the season third in the AP Defensive Player of the Year voting. He had 15.5 sacks, 28 quarterback hits, 2 forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 17 games with the Chiefs.
It will be interesting to see how much a contract extension will pay if Chirs Jones signs the deal and returns to the training camp.
