Earlier this week, Eden Hazard spoke to RTBF regarding his time in Madrid and his struggles, including his stagnant relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti. He went on to admit that they barely communicate in the dressing room.
This came as a tough pill to swallow for the Madrid fans, but the Italian Manager confirmed the news himself.
What did Carlo Ancelotti have to say?
“Look, it’s not that we have a cold relationship, but Hazard is right when he says we don’t talk much.
“That can come down to certain personalities because, for example, even with your children you have some you speak to more than others.
“Why doesn’t he play? Because there’s a lot of competition. In his position, there’s a player who is contributing a lot, which is Vinicius.”
At a club like Real Madrid, one doesn’t get much opportunities. Hazard himself, has experienced this with Vinicius Jr ahead of him in the pecking order. Amid injuries and fitness concerns, the Belgian has struggled to get back into the starting XI. Ever since 2019, Hazard has gone on to feature in 73 games but managed to get just 18 goal contributions.
The Brazilian has now made a name for himself as one of the most exciting and prolific wingers in world football.
