James Harden, an American professional basketball player and a player of the Philadelphia 76ers might join another team in the near future. According to the rumors, the 76ers might be thinking about trading him to acquire another player for their team. Following the rumors there is already a team who is interested in him. But it’s still uncertain whether the 76ers will give up on him or not.

There were many rumors NBA offseason that James Harden might go back to the Houston Rockets. However, as time has passed, the situation has changed in favor of the Philadelphia 76ers. But according to the reports they are preparing for the worst case in case Harden doesn’t return.

But it’s not just the 76ers and Rockets to keep an eye on. According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic, there is another unexpected team that could be interested in Harden. They are considered a “dark horse” in this situation.

“From James’ perspective,” he said, “there were always a few options. Phoenix was always an option. Another team that I’ve heard recently that is a dark horse… is actually the Los Angeles Clippers.”

Even though James Harden would be a good fit for the Los Angeles Lakers because they need someone who can create scoring opportunities, it seems like the Philadelphia 76ers are still the top contenders to sign him.

Brian Windhorst, an NBA insider from ESPN, recently expressed the same view.

“I think James Harden is going to remain a Sixer, but that doesn’t mean that there’s not some question marks surrounding how it’s going to play out,” Windhorst said.

The Houston Rockets have been vocal about their desire to keep James Harden on their team. However, it seems that the Philadelphia 76ers’ decision to replace their coach, Doc Rivers, might be enough to convince Harden to stay with them.

But even if that doesn’t work out, the Rockets will face strong competition from the Los Angeles Clippers who also want to acquire Harden.

Let’s just wait and see where Harden will be playing when the 2023-24 NBA season begins.
