Amidst all the Warriors’ struggles, Stephen Curry sends a warning to the NBA
The Golden State Warriors lifted the Larry O’Brien Trophy last summer, so they were expected to be on the top this NBA season. But apart from the little wins they could achieve, the Warriors struggled to play with the same consistency as they did a year ago.
A lot of this is happening because of the injuries that the players suffered this season. Like Stephen Curry, who has missed a lot of time and Gary Payton II is still out. Nothing is sure about his return yet.
Stephen Curry’s optimism
Even after all the problems that are piled up against them, Stephen Curry has not lost his confidence that the Warriors are the team to defeat in the West.
Curry said, in the Athletic, “I know we’re a different team than we were last year. I know we’ve got different challenges than we had last year, but we’ve still proven that if we’re healthy come playoff time, if we have a shot to get into a series, we’re a tough out. So that’s where all the optimism is until proven differently.”
The Warriors were missing some of the key veterans from last year’s championship squad. But they still have the best players with them. The Warriors still have Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond healthy.
