American Sprinter Noah Lyles Tied Usain Bolt's Impressive Record on Saturday

Usain Bolt is known as the fastest man ever, but recently an American sprinter made a big move in the world of track and field. Noah Lyles, a talented runner of the United States team, has tied one of Bolt’s records.

Lyles now shares the record for the most 200m races completed in under 20 seconds with Bolt. This is a big deal because Bolt is a legendary sprinter. Lyles has completed 34 races with a time below 20 seconds, and if he does just one more, he will surpass Bolt and hold the record by himself.

Lyles is highly accomplished in the 200m race. He has won two World Championships, and three Diamond League titles, and earned an Olympic bronze medal. For the past five years, he has consistently recorded the fastest time in the world in this race. Although he missed out on winning the gold medal at the 2021 Olympics, he had an outstanding performance later that year in Oregon, clocking an impressive time of 19.52 seconds, which would have won him the race.

It’s important to note that Bolt still holds the record for the fastest 200m race ever with a time of 19.19 seconds. His record is well ahead of Yohan Blake’s 19.26 seconds, which is the second-best time recorded.

Bolt’s third-best time is 19.30 seconds, just 0.01 seconds faster than Lyles’ personal best of 19.31 seconds, achieved last year in Oregon.

While Lyles is currently one of the top 200m sprinters, breaking Bolt’s record will require even more effort and dedication. Lyles has shown great talent and determination, and with continued hard work, he has the potential to make his mark on the sport and rewrite the record books.
