Alabama Freshman Antonio Ross Arrested For Sexual Assault Charges On Monday

Alabama freshman player Antonio Ross has been allegedly arrested for sexual assault on Monday.

Alabama safety Antonio Ross didn’t play in any of the Crimson Tide’s first two games in the College Football season this year.

However, Antonio’s name has been removed from the online roster program list.

According to Al.com, Ross was taken into custody in a Calhoun County jail on Monday night and is facing a second-degree sodomy charge.

The police haven’t shared the details of the alleged case but they are on investigation involving a juvenile female victim.

Police Lt. Andy Hunter said,

“This case highlights the need for these centers and funding for child advocacy workers who are specifically trained to interview children in a safe and comfortable space.”

Ross was released from jail on a $50,000 bond.

“The investigation led to a decision to forward the case to a Calhoun County Grand Jury, which took place during the week of August 28th, 2023.”

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound, Ross committed to Liberty Auburn University before joining Alabama as a defensive back as a preferred walk-on this summer.

19-year-old, Ross did practice with the team in the offseason but didn’t get the chance to play any game of College Football season.

Nick Saban and his team already dropped a couple of positions from the Top 25 College Football State. And news like this might worsen the situation and ruin the school’s prestige.

Although nothing official has come from Alabama on this matter yet. But Antonio Ross has been removed from the Alabama Official Player List and so does his player page.

It currently returns a 404 error.
