Al Michaels Mistakenly Said Stephen Diggs Instead Of Trevon For Season-Ending Injury

Veteran Thursday Night Football hosts Al Michaels made another mistake when he said Stephon Diggs instead of Trevon Diggs for a season-ending injury.

Michaels might have sent some shockwave to the Bills fans for claiming their star receiver Stephen Diggs is out of the season.

During the Thursday Night Football broadcasting Michaels got confused between Diggs’s brother switched up the Stephen during the Giants and 49ers ame.

Stephen Diggs is the receiver for the Buffalo Bills, and some might have been shocked when they were informed by a legendary host that Stephen had torn his ACL.

“They lost Stefon Diggs today to the Cowboys. Torn ACL. Huge loss,” Michaels said late in the fourth quarter during the broadcast.

Stephen Diggs’ both ACLs are intact however his Brother Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is not. Unfortunately, Michaels got confused between Diggs’s brother. They might share the same surname but different names, positions, and teams.

Before this Al Michaels made a major history mistake during the TNF show. While talking about the two teams’ rich history, Michaels said the 49ers have four Super Bowl titles. The fact is 49ers actually won five.

Michaels said, “So you think about the 49ers, this is a franchise that has won four Super Bowls. Bill Walsh won two, George Seifert won two. But not since 1994.”

Later Michaels realized that he made a mistake and immediately corrected himself.

Michaels told Kirk Herbstreit,

“Partner, I short-shrift the 49ers. They won five Super Bowls.”

This time, 49ers fans didn’t let go and roasted Michaels for his mistake.

One fan said, “Michaels is warshed. He’s had a great career. It’s over. Time for intermittent feature appearances.”

Another Fan softened a little bit, “He made a mistake….Every person has made a mistake in their lives a time or two so please people “LIGHTEN UP””

Another fan said, “We all love Al, he’s a legend, but he’s losing his fastball.”

One fan wrote, “Al needs to call it a career before it gets too bad”

We all make mistakes doesn’t mean it’s over for us. Maybe we should all take a deep breath a little and let it go.
