Al Hilal To Rival Al Nassr As They Aim To Sign Lionel Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo’s January move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia has been the talking point of the transfer window. The deal will see the Portuguese earn a hefty 200 million Euros ($214.04 million) until 2025. As per Mundo Deportivo, their rival, Al Hilal, is working on a potential deal to bring World Cup winner Lionel Messi for $300 million. It has been clear, that Messi wants to play for the Parisians for another year. Al Hilal, on the other hand, is hoping to bring in the Argentine as a free agent this summer.

Messi is already promoting Saudi Tourism as their Brand Ambassador. Thus, given his close relations with the country, the possibility of him playing there one day is likely. Al Hilal desire to capitalize on this opportunity and lure him in by making him the highest-paid footballer in the world. 

Which Other Clubs Are Interested In Messi?

It does not come as a surprise that there will be several other clubs looking for the Argentine’s signature. The possibility of him going back to his former club, FC Barcelona, is very high. However, the 7-time Ballon d’Or winner also has an offer on the table from MLS outfit – Inter Miami. The David Beckham-owned franchise has previously been interested in offering him a contract that includes future professional prospects such as owning his own Franchise.

In the meanwhile, PSG is confident of extending his stay at the club after Messi made the verbal promise to continue at the club.
