Aaron Rodgers Contemplates His Future With The Packers

Aaron Rodgers, a Super Bowl champion, made it public on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he will be reflecting on his future with the Green Bay Packers. He is unsure about his return to the Packers.

A week ago, the Packers suffered an upsetting loss against the Detroit Lions. And there are rumors that the team is going through a tough time. Rodgers does not want to be a part of the rebuild.

What Did Rodgers Say On The Show?

The Packers did not pressurize him to make his decision soon. Rodgers was mostly quiet and provided no clarity on his future with the Packers during the show.

Rogers said:

“We had all the conversations we wanted to have about football for now. They’re not pressing for any type of specific answer, and I’m not mentally or emotionally at that point.”

He said that he has to think a lot about it before coming to any conclusions.

Here is what he talked about on the Pat McAfee show:

“I think you have a feeling where you’re leaning, but there’s a lot of things that come into play. Just on my side, it’s the physical part, it’s the emotional part, it’s the spiritual part, it’s the ability to go back out there and give it 100 percent. It’s also the situation and where the team is at and the focus moving forward short-term and long-term. And then it just comes down to the intuition of what it feels like in your body and what it feels like in your mind.”

“Once you commit, then you commit and you move forward, whatever the decision is. I just need some time right now. That’s going to be the answer until I’m ready, and when I’m ready to give my opinion like I was last year, I’m either all in or I’m out.”

What one can make out from the thoughts of the player is that he is still reflecting on his future with the Packers. One thing is certain: he will either have his way in the team, which will also be governed by the franchise’s direction, or he will be out of it.

In his conversation with the co-host, A.J. Hawk, Rodgers’s thoughts kept revolving around one thing: he is a good player (he has won the MVP twice) and can play only with the right state of mind. He wants everything sorted out and wants to move forward with the team only if both sides want to.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Rodgers’ decision, which could take several weeks before reaching a conclusion.
