Aaron Rodgers Clears Up His Controversial U.S. Open Instagram Post About Novak Djokovic
In recent times, Aaron Rodgers, a well-known figure, has often found himself in the middle of controversies. This week, he caused a stir with a post on Instagram related to the U.S. Open. Let’s dive into the details.
During a Sunday night match featuring Novak Djokovic, Rodgers, who was present at the event, decided to share a photo on Instagram from where he was sitting in the stadium. In this post, he did something eye-catching – he marked out the Moderna logo displayed on the advertising boards and added the hashtag #novaxdjokovic.
Now, let’s fast forward to Thursday when Rodgers provided some clarity about this Instagram post.
He stated, “Well, I’m a big fan of Novak and I got to see him in person.” Then, he continued, “I took that photo and then realized that there was a little Moderna sign in the background. Novak is one of the most fit athletes in the world and I think that anybody looking at the situation realizes how ridiculous it was to not allow him into the country with [his] level of fitness and the way he takes care of his body. Like him, I care about health and I was just having a little bit of fun with it.”
It’s crucial to understand that Djokovic missed last year’s US Open due to the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for non-U.S. citizens, and Rodgers has previously expressed doubts about this vaccine.
Both Rodgers and Djokovic have been doing well lately. Rodgers is all set for his debut with the Jets, and Djokovic is only two victories away from clinching another major title at the US Open.
