Chris Paul is an American professional basketball player having a rough time with the Phoenix even and they might be thinking of trading him to add another player to their ranks.

According to rumors the Washington Wizards are one of the top teams who are interested in acquiring him that said, they aren’t the only ones. After the Wizards made their motives about Paul clear, 3 new teams emerged to have Paul in their team.

The maximum possibility is that Paul is going to play for the Wizards soon. In exchange, Bradley Beal will join the Phoenix Suns. But by the look of the things that happened, Chris Paul won’t be able to go back to Phoenix even if he leaves the Wizards. So, he will play for another team in 2023-24.

According to the reports from an  NBA insider Marc Stein, The first team to be an option for Paul is Los Angeles Lakers.

“There will be lots of interest, with the Lakers at the forefront, if CP3 reaches free agency,” Stein wrote.

There have been a lot of talks about Paul possibly joining the Lakers because they need a good point guard. If he joins them, D’Angelo Russell might be traded to one of the four teams interested in him.

According to Chris Haynes from Bleacher Report, Los Angeles Clippers is also a contender who could be interested in Paul.

“The Washington Wizards are likely to reroute Chris Paul in a trade and the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to pursue a reunion with the future Hall of Famer,” he tweeted.

Paul and the Clippers have a history together, and it seems like a great fit for him to join Kawhi Leonard and the team.

Since Leonard joined the Clippers, he has been asking for a good point guard who is good at offense. So far, the closest they got was Russell Westbrook, but he is not as good at creating plays as Paul.

The third one is San Antonio Spurs. Even though the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are interested in Paul, he and his family are based in the western part of the country. It’s unlikely for him to go all the way to the East Coast unless it’s really necessary.

The Spurs have been connected to Paul recently because they think he can help Victor Wembanyama, a young player, adjust to the NBA. Paul showed with the Oklahoma City Thunder that he can be a great mentor in that role.

Let’s wait and see where will he end up in the end.
