2 Top Candidates Considered to Replace Suzy Kolber at ESPN
ESPN has gone through some staff changes recently, and one of the big roles to fill is Suzy Kolber’s spot on “Monday Night Countdown.”
As per reported by Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, They’re thinking of promoting people from within the company to take over, and two strong contenders have come forward: Scott Van Pelt and Laura Rutledge from “NFL Live.”
Scott Van Pelt, also known as SVP, already hosts the post-game edition of “SportsCenter” after Monday night games. If he takes on this new job, it will be a big challenge for him, but he’s an experienced ESPN veteran.

Laura Rutledge has been doing great too. She started as a sideline reporter and live correspondent, and now she hosts “SEC Nation” and does a lot of NFL coverage for the network.
Besides Suzy Kolber, ESPN also needs to find someone to replace Steve Young, the Hall of Fame quarterback who’s been an analyst on “Countdown” since 2001.
It’s going to be interesting to see who ESPN picks for these important roles as they make some changes in their shows.
